TRESA Explained
This page highlights substantive changes to TRESA that are expected to have the greatest impact on your day-to-day activities including your interactions with consumers.
The government is currently considering additional amendments RECO recently recommended be included as part of Phase 2.
This has caused a delay in the proclamation of the Phase 2 changes. They will no longer come into effect April 1st, 2023. An update will be provided when a new date is chosen.
The proposed amendments would provide more flexibility in how consumers and registrants choose to interact with each other, and would provide greater consumer options and protection, while maintaining options for brokerages. RECO will provide updates as they are available.
